Chirming: Summer,Migratory, Winter
When I was young, I saw a little pretty bird on the mountain. The bird quickly flew away, leaving only sound behind. I looked up in the sky to find the bird but all I could see was tree branches and forest. The bird kept on singing, but I had no idea where it was. From very young, bird sound was the tree branches and big forest to me.
This experience made me visualize the sound of birds like a forest. I made posters to visualize the special singing of birds, which relaxes both mind and body with its own beauty. Extending this idea, the sound of singing birds is here depicted in the form of mandalas, which in turn visually represent healing and meditation. Using this as an image motif, I analyzed and visualized the data of the birdsong. For example, the color of the leaves is the color of the bird's feather, and also I expressed the bird sounds' volume, pitch range the scale, how many times the bird sounds on average in 30 seconds.
